Debuffs on bolstered players

I was wondering how debuffs work on players with bolstered stats, particularly in regards to resists and armor values.

It seems to me, but I could be completely wrong, that resists and armor gets bolstered too, but is effected by defender's rank as outlined in Londo's posts in viewtopic.php?f=11&t=965&p=9877#p9877

Another formula based on attacker's effective level in regards to renown rank is, as far as I understand, not used (see viewtopic.php?t=971 ).

I'm wondering how armor and mitigations debuff work in regard to this, because my bolstered players get hit exceptionally hard with much lower amount of mitigated damage than their .getstats and paper doll values indicate they should (45% mitigations reduced to maybe less than 10%).

Now, I'm wondering if debuffs are applies as-is, or if it's adjusted in any way when applied to a bolstered player.

Let's say my fledgeling level 16 tank has 200 spirit resist, giving ~30% damage mitigation. Bolster gets him to, say, 400 spirit resist, giving 46.5% mitigation. Now, what happens if he runs in a level 40 Storm of Chronos at -359 spirit resist? Would his new resist be 41 (6.1%)? Or what happens, exactly?

The bolstered stats itself are mostly correct, unless they are capped, where .getstats is more reliable.
The resulting percentage base values are based on your true rank, so they appear quite high, albeit the raw stats are much lower compared to rank 40 players.

E.g. your 400 resist are not 46% at rank 40.

Well, yes. My concern is what happens when a bolstered player is exposed to a debuff from a capped player.

A level 40 with 800 resists is presumably much less hurt by a 300 resist debuff than a level 16 with a resist bolstered to 400.

A proper geared rank 16 doesn't have less resists than a rank 40, the resist buffs, if cast by yourself or other lowlvl, are bolstered too and way higher than any rank 40 buff.
The math itself is correct, bolstered stat value minus r40 debuff value.
