Return of Reckoning

Not sure if this is a "bug" or just how this server works but every so often the chat on my chat box scrolls all by itself and will eventually disappear from the scrolling. Is there a way to stop this from happening or is this just how the server works?

Is there a way to remove the grey healing text from the combat log? I always go to check some damage or something, but the grey text is like an ocean that consumes all.

This doesn't work at all. Having maxed out all chat related stuff in options and chat is still cleared after some period of time, not after 8000 lines.


@Athergic: Turn off "other healing", which shows friendly and hostile healing.

Right click your chat tab > filter > uncheck whatever you want

8000 line setting reduces frequency of chat auto clearing.
it seems tabs and filters couldn't reduce it further.

Yeah, but what I don't get is, why chat is cleared, when no new content is posted in a chat tab.
Unless the limit is for all tabs altogether, even hidden channels with addon communication. Updating addons might gather enough chat input.

I always assumed there was a single chat buffer and we just looked at a filtered version of it.

I'm having this problem on 2 toons only and it actually started occuring recently. Any fix would be appreciated ;(

Yeah the issue I have (and reason for this thread) is that I can literally watch the chat scroll up when NOTHING is being said or done. I could be in IC standing around for 10 minutes and see each line of the chat move up slowly one line at a time over the timeframe until it is gone completely.
