too much exp earned for zone lock, so zero exp given

I wasn't sure what to post this under since its not a bug .
Yesterday i spent 5 hours in Dragon wake on my alt Healzonweelz. last night i logged before the zone locked , today i logged on, and had the message you have earned more exp than the system allows , 90600 exp, this has been prevented , and i received zero exp.
If anything, if i somehow earned more than the system allows , for wasting my time in DW, i would think, i should at least earn whatever the exp reward cap is, instead of all of it being prevented, and receiving no exp at all.
