You are Slayer right? Spec RoA and ruin farm is easy mode
I dont mind grinding, already feels like keeping the RR equal to the normal R is a grind by itself
Yeah i play as a slayer, i would go for that spell, but im so meh about Dual Wield, RG and Flurry spamming has been working great for me so far when it comes to AoE, but i will give it a go once i get to around R 30
For PvE farm, I'd suggest full parry+hp/s build (use ToK/renown and a mix-and-match of gear sets), Short Temper (tactic, will refer to it as ST going forwards) and ID - RoA isn't necessary, if you fancy it and are low on gear ... meh, if you have gear parry+hp/s and the insane AoE through ST/ID is well enough to do +10er pulls (with little downtime, as with the parry and hp/s you can basically keep on grinding whilst sitting at 20%ish HP - cycling M1 and such).
RG is essentially a waste for PvE, you might aswell properly spec for the grind, spend a day or two grinding what you need and then respec and forget about it again - Flurry spam, too, is lackluster compared to the speed you can ramp up with ST/ID, most pulls will evaporate before you drop below 75% HP anyways.
Tag NPCs, slap ID on all off them, position yourself once you made a pull to parry attacks, save M1 in case you drop to low (and drop Rage if you have to).
I used to grind the demons at the CW PQ in the tower whenever I was bored and needed a gold infusion.
Sadly, the NPCs are gone now... they used to have a decent spawntime and didn't need a specific stage of the PQ - the PQ itself seems a bit bonkers atm, dunno how to even trigger the first stage.
In regards to guides for gear and such, check the wiki - the lists on there are comprehensive enough, alternatively do a forum search; alot of (the ever same) advice has been written down throughout the months in plenty of threads all over the place.
I'd suggest you have a look at the threads that complain about gear accessibility and the tier merger, they'll contain the most up-to-date advice on gearing and such.
Truth be told, a compilation of all the advice would be fancy for new players... but, well, one would have to compile it all, and hardly anyone can be arsed to do so, as the thread containing the compiled information would just go unnoticed anyways, even if it were stickied.
My cynical 2cents, no offense intended.
Abbd.:
Having played too much IB, I've misread/mistaken RG for Rampage above. Now, RG is equally as useless for PvE as is Rampage, you really don't want to use it whilst grinding, it massively slows you down - the additional damage is fluff, whereas the drain on your HP is not.
