Hi.

I've spent the past few hours in Chaos Wastes doing RVR. Zone locked with a draw, and this happened:



So 0 xp for hours of work.

Definitely a bug. That's like 10x too much renown as well. Plus Influence is currently bugged so you don't get any when a zone draws/locks (unless this is Destro only, which would be infuriating).


Edit: You definitely should have gotten some experience, but probably only around 8-20k - and about 1500 - 4000 renown. And 0 Influence (chat log says you get influence, but it doesn't ever give any - this bug has been since at least April)

small consideration, are these bugs only happening to not rank 40 players?

Rank 40 players are not affected by xp cap...

20k experience is usually the norm/high end when locking a zone. RvR is the worst form of experience there is.

No, I believe the influence is not received by any players when a zone locks. Here is the Bug Tracker (https://github.com/WarEmu/WarBugs/issues/9438) It shows images of Level 40s as well reporting the issue.

Sorry, didn't realize you posted, since you said XP cap is irrelevant for Lv 40 players (which is true), but you're level 32. So I don't see the relevance to your comment.

You said the post is about gaining way too much experience, but that's not really the issue. You gained way too much of all three (xp, rp, and influence). The only reason you didn't get the experience was either it would have put you above level 40 (which it wouldn't) or the game has a catch in place to prevent exploiting. So the issue isn't that you didn't get the experience, its that you did. You should only have received about 10% of those amounts at most. I imagine the devs will reverse it all for you and grant you the proper amount of experience and renown that should have been rewarded (about 20k and 2k respectively, give or take).

I spent 4 hour in Chaos Wastes doing RVR almost non-stop. From 32 to 33 I need 565k xp. So I don't think getting 112k for 4 hours is way too much considering I get 10k per champion kill.

Unfortunately, it isn't up to you/us. RvR is not meant for experience. You can spend 4 hours until the zone draws and you still get 20k experience. You should not be RvRing for experience, you should be doing it for RP and Medallions. PvE, and to a lesser extent SCs, are where you need to go if you want fast experience.

It would take months to level from 1-40 doing only RvR, and about a week in PvE. This is the way the game is. You should have only gotten about 10% of what your log said, about 11k experience. Don't forget you also get very minor experience from BO nodes and kills. These add up to another few thousand.

If you have an issue with RvR not granting enough experience, you can put up a proposal to change it. But I doubt it will change, since there are better alternatives, and RvR is known to not be meant to give much experience at all. SCs give good RP and XP, and PvE gives the most XP, but no RP.
