Renown gained on zone lock via draw

When a zone gets locked once the timer runs out and the battle is a draw, is the renown gained reduced from that zone lock? If so then by roughly how much?
No one really knew in advice when I asked and my group and I only got a surprisingly small renown tick when a zone we had been fighting in for a few hours tied.
