Return of Reckoning

I'm trying to advance and my lowly rank 8 Engineer is starting his pvp journey. Only problem is the SCs and RvR area is full of level 19's ganking.

This was a problem the first time round, one of the reasons I ended up quitting the game when it was WAR.

looking for advice, do I just forget about PvP till I grind to rank 15 and then try to get my renown up or is there a speciic low level sc?
Seems seriously unfair that level 19's lurk in the RvR area meant for rank 1-7.

those level 19s are players who like your engineer have been bolstered. The actual cap for T1 is level 16. The bolster works in 3 levels in T1 really low players are bolstered to 19, mid level T1 players are bolstered to 17 and the highest T1 players are level 15.

There cant be lvl 19's in T1 scenarios, its impossible. Those who're over lvl 15 in T1 RvR areas are debolstered.
That mean you cant have more than 2 mastery points, more than 13 renown points spent, no gear above lvl 13 AND no talismans in gear slotted ( type .ror debolster in game ).
You can go even at lvl 40 if you meet those requeriments, if dont...you get chicken'd.

Debolster doesn't work at the moment, possibly to return after RVR rework is finished.

You might not have good gear or simply a lack of pvp experience and therefore have a bad time. Be ensured, you will get better over time, when you have the motivation to learn.

On live I did most of my PvP in an established guild. I think I may have just forgotten how it was at low level, my strongest memories where of the dreaded twinks. Could be confirmation bias.

Once you hit r16, open world PvP will basically be a nightmare for you for a few weeks/months until you get r40. So don't grind out of T1 too early, or you'll miss out on the only enjoyable part of the levelling curve.

Getting a character to rank 40 in 24 hours played is possible, but a bit dull. Especially if you play your first character, it's better to pick a class you enjoy and take it slow. T1 can be very fun at times, and nothing here prevent you from making 20 chars, and trying all of them to find out what suits your preferences best.

don't get too mad for tier 1 pvp. Is ridiculous at best. just go in t2 areas at level 13 and PQ there for nice blue stuff till u go to 19 nd jump in t4 rvr.
