Return of Reckoning

When I try to launch the RoRLauncher.exe the following message occurs

Which says " A device attached to the system is not functioning. " ( error 31 ) in english. I tried to move game to different locations and scan my computer with antivirus .

Perhaps you could post the solution in case someone else runs into the same issue?

I've been playing on and off for a couple of years with no issues, and now I get this one trying to log in. Bober, how did you resolve this? Many thanks -Artwork.
