Is rift from one land to another illegal?

Does anyone know if it is allowed to be using magus rift from one terrain to another?
We know that this is not part of the mechanics and is a flaw in RoR, but wanted to know if there is a restriction and if the player caught can receive some kind of punishment.

use the search function. Literally search for "rules using rift" and the first(Edit: 2nd after this one... Irony!) result is....
Hence the sarcastic reply. I think Wargrims response is perfect. Deal with it.
