Crit reduction ini futile fortune set etc

Had a discussion about how useless it is to stack ini so i wanna know iam right or not ;D

if you have 270 ini you have a chance to get crit 12,9 % + attackers crit because 3500/ini = % or not ?
that means if oyu get debuffed bye 120 ini
= 150 ini = 23 % + attackers crit
lets say attacker has 30 % crit = 23 +30 =53 % with full futile strikes 45 renown points = 29 % ? right or not `?

so if you have 370 ini after debuff 250 ini = 14 % + attackers 30 = 44% - 3 times futile strikes = 29 % right or not ?

so in that example 100 ini = 15 renown points OR if you still go full futile = 20 % so 9 % better

so 470 ini after debuff 350 = 10% +attacker 30 % = 40 % + full futile = 16 %

question : how many can ini be debuffed or is highest debuff 120 ?
question : is the math right ?
Question did i miss something ?

Uhm, even tho your elaboration is a bit wonky (formatted), the math looks sound for the most part.
However you do not take the exponential nature of initiative into account.

Stacking initiative to 300ish (rather than static -CTBC, in form of FS and such) yields as good return as it does, because it cancels out the really nasty exponential scaling that kicks in sub 150.
If you were to get debuffed whilst sporting just 150 (or less, depending on your respective base and bleh), your ctbc would be so high that your attacker's crit doesn't matter - at all.

Abbd.: Iirc, 80ini has you sit at +60 ctbc. I am at work with my tablet, if I get to it/remember it later on I'll provide you the math and various statements from staff in regards to initiative. However, t2 gankbus shenanigans can essentially be repeated if targets don't stack atleast a little bit initiative...
Abbd.: Just unterstood your actual question:

Stacking FS <can> yield you good returns if you are up against debuffs increasing your ctbc by a static amount or against classes with low crit, however -ctbc-tools are kinda lackluster if you are playing on destro - given the crit floating around on order.
If you entirely commit to it (dominator, t3 2pc sets, relevant -ctbc jewelry, tactics, ini stack,...) you can basically cancel out (as in: lower the effective crit, not as in actually canceling out your attacker's crit) most crit enhancer pugs have access to, and give you an edge against premades aswell. But I, too, would argue that the investment isn't worth it, unless you are an actual tank.

think that was the thread regarding ini values etc. starting aprox at this page.

Daknallbomb did participate in that thread, so I don't think he'll get much out of it.

I'd generally suggest to think about averages, accessibilty and respective format rather than constructed scenario or sober mechanics, especially for as long the mechanic in question isn't entirely cleared yet. Most of the discussion in the above thread revolves around 'negative' crit and a statement from Aza in regards to it.

If you play with a BO/SM, i dont think stacking ini will be all that important becuase of stat steal
