Return of Reckoning

Hi there,

I recently came across your server and very excited to play it but did all the steps and went to boot up the launcher and got -

Error starting: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'xxxx\Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning\WAR.exe' is denied.

I honestly have no idea what this means. I followed your steps and downloaded the game then extracted the RoR launcher into the folder with the game. Not sure if I have to move something or why it has no access, I have tried running as admin. Sorry if this is a post I honestly did not look but will browse after posting this and will delete if i find a reason.

If anyone could help it would be amazing!

I vaguely recall having to uncheck the read only attribute on the ROR folder when I installed it due to similar (same?) error. GL.

Access was denied to the path or file WAR.exe!

Unblock the launcher. (right click RoRLauncher.exe -> properties -> click Unblock button)

Remove the write-protection (right click the game folder -> properties -> disable read-only) from all the files in the WAR folder and try again. You may also try running the launcher with Administrator privileges.

If you used the torrent to download the game, the torrent application may still be using the files. Either copy the entire WAR folder to a new location (if you wish to continue supporting the torrent), or move the entire WAR folder to another location to break access to the torrent.

data.myp is read only!

Same solution as above.
