Game Overview discussion

Have been playing since 08', havnt spent much time in T4. I tend to reroll a lot.
This is general it isnt aimed at any class specific. I dont understand warhammer lore.

This in my opinion is the best pvp game out there and why I continue to play, but there are things that bother me I will address.

I have posted in other forums what I will post here. I doubt any changes will be made. I doubt anyone cares. Im not sure the direction of the game you are taking, but its not a good one. There is too much waiting around and sitting and waiting and being idle, maybe your just working on your coding skills only explanation I can find.


Battle objectives need to be reworked. Sitting on a BO to defend for 5+mins is insane.
2min should be max time. If your not in the area, oh well.
BOs need to stay locked longer. 15/30min. The game has become BOhammer, all you do is swap, trade, chase down BO's.. This is suppose to be a pvp game.

Options.
Zone opens all BOs open for capture (green).
BOs lock for 15/30min, with 2min capture time.

2 phases for each BO. Upon first capture BO stays locked 15min. After 15min BO opens to be captured
First realm to capture a BO twice locks BO 30mins.
Only a locked BO with 30min timer can be used as travel point from WC, keep, other 30min locked BOs.
I know there are 'portals' in the game. I have seen one used in DW. If these were placed at WC and keep and 30min locked BOs, that would be amazing.
EDIT: Only locked BOs with 30min regenerate supplies.
Would encourage fights at BOs to get the 30min stage. (Supply regenerate, travel)

For people playing this game without a guild or friends RVR is harsh, unfavoring. You are always getting ganked and blah blah. Having a way to travel to certain points would greatly increase playability. Taking 5mins to run to a BO only to get ganked is disappointing.

TLDR; Longer lock times on BOS, using BOs, keep, WC as travel points.


AAO revised

If you have AAO = increase in dmg/hp.
If you are giving AAO (forget name) = decreased dmg/hp.

Every 100%AAO = 10% more dmg/hp. 400AAO = 40% dmg/hp
The realm that gives AAO would receive the same, but as a debuff.
every 20% = 4% effect to both sides. (if math correct)
The buff/debuff needs to be substantial enough to matter.


Character Health pool.
One of the biggest problems in pvp games is health points. This is suppose to be a group based game, but some classes are designed to be solo'ists and take out other classes quick. BW/Sorc is suppose to be able to eliminate you almost immediately. Im not sure how much of this follows warhammer lore. But its horrible for pvp.

If its a group based game it should take several people to kill anyone. There is very little skilled involved for some classes to knock you out. Most of them revolve around a 3/4 button mash, most fights are over in moments, most fights defensive abilities are useless to try. Most fights you cant get off a heal or a guard or a detaunt. None of this should apply against 1vs1.

An increase in HP would result in more strategic group based fights. You cant do much without worrying about if 1 or 2 people are gonna focused you down in 5seconds, A fight should last long enough to get away, use defensive abilities. It takes time.
Then you say if everyone had 25k extra health no one would die. People would die but it would take more coordination, you wouldnt be able to eliminate someone instantaneously.

Most people have around 6-7k hp, a good base increase for everyone would be 25k hp, maybe more.
It would stop ganking, it would eliminate people with no skill. Skill does not play much part in anything, its based on who gets this off first or who does this first, a knockdown, a disarm, a silence, can eliminate you. 1 person in a group based game should not have this much control over a battle. It should take 3/4 assisting each other on a target to accomplish something.

M/rdps, will feel nerfed they will hate it because they will have to work with others. I doubt any gankging would be able to happen. No one would die in a matter of moments without being able to use any defensive abilities. It would allow people to play together more.


I have posted these ideas on other forums here, no one takes notice. The game isnt friendly to new players, long wait times. People killing you in moments. There is a lot that could be changed and done to make this a more playable game.

I am not sure the direction your trying to take but its taking away from pvp. Whats with the keep lords taking 10mins to kill? ITS PVP CMON. I am frustrated and angry. You cant even dps door anymore, more standing around.

Each thing i used to like about this game is slowly disappearing. No one wants to play a game you just sit around in, its becoming waithammer not warhammer. Game right now is close to turning into a fanboi game with no new players or life.

The only reason I still play is SCs. RVR is a mess. And i am not the only one who feels this way. The direction you are going is taking away from not adding to and its painful to see. I am not attacking or being vile. It hurts seeing a game with still so much potential be driven further into the ground.

There is another RvR pass being worked on, details will come out when the time is right, and things will start to change in the lower tiers first.
