I can't seem to find this anywhere on the forums and posting is all I can think of as a last ditch effort. So, here's the error message.

Error starting: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'C:\Users\Luke\Desktop\WAR.exe'.
File name: 'C:\Users\Luke\Desktop\WAR.exe'
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy, Boolean useLongPath, Boolean checkHost)
at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access)
at RoRLauncher.Hash.GetMd5HashFromFile(String fileName)
at RoRLauncher.Client.patchExe()
at RoRLauncher.Client.Handle(PacketIn packet)

I have WAR.exe in my folder and have done all of the necessary procedures. DL torrent, moved the file to stop seeding, installed DirectX, DL the launcher from both download locations, and tried to uncheck readme on both the RoR launcher and folder entirely, etc. Nothing has worked. Please help!

PS: My Warhammer folder is in Program Files x86, so idk why Desktop\WAR.exe is in the error message. Also, WAR.exe is in the folder named as WAR (I have to click properties to bring up the "type of file" and it is : Application (.exe) - Description : WAR. That, and whenever I try to connect again to see if it's fixed, the RoR Launcher, HashDictionary.dll, ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll, and MYPHandler.dll have all moved out of the folder and to desktop... :?

That's because you haven't put the RoR launcher into the game folder. Put it in there and create a shortcut of it to your desktop or pin it to your task bar for ease of access. Then log in.

Ahh, you must misunderstand from the PS. I download the launcher from here - https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?code ... FCn4UIAQ77 and unzip it into the game folder. When I attempt to connect and get the error message, all of the unzipped launcher files that were in the Warhammer folder move to the desktop. :(

You said your warhammer online folder was in programs (x86) folder, but your launcher is on the desktop. That's why it's saying it can't find War.exe, as it's looking for it on the desktop.

If the game is in programs (x86) folder, put the launcher in the game folder there.

It's only there after I try to connect. When it's unzipped it goes into the game folder that's in program files x86. After 1st connection try and error message it moves itself to desktop.

Not heard of that happening before...

For clarification: You unzip the RoR launcher and put the contents of it into the game folder that is in programs files (x86), where the game is. In the folder there's War.exe etc.

When you run the launcher that's in the game folder and enter your login credentials, it gives you that error message (cannot find war.exe), and it's definitely using the file path: "desktop/war.exe"?

Why it would move the launcher files to the desktop, I have no idea. I've not heard of that happening before and it shouldn't be happening.

Yeah, it's super weird. You are correct though, unzip the RoR launcher into game folder where the .exe file is and it gives me that error message.

I just went with what it was saying in the error message and moved the game folder to desktop.

So, now... I don't get an error code.. but, when I try to hit connect it brings up a different windows pop-up labeled "WAR.exe - System Error" --- saying, "The program can't start because d3dx9_34.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

Soo, I found a thread with a fix to this and tried to download "DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)" @ https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... px?id=8109 and it's still not getting past the "WAR.exe System Error" pop-up window... -.-
