4K of salt

I know already where its gonna head but i mean, lets be real here. just for 1sec. 5.6health total and dat crit for 4k right in my Dark Elve nugget. :shock: :shock:

Did i had time to detaut: NO since i never saw the SW.
Did i had guard? NO because for once the tank was doing there thing in the front line.

Last day a sorceress killed my tank within 3 sec. Caught me on open field alone. I wasnt happy either. :) It happens.

Fester Arrow crit with Enchanted Arrows tactic + Unshakable Focus + Vengence of Nagarythe

The only mitigation you have against it is toughness, and the max dmg from it is 4000 on this server to avoid actual oneshots.

I don't think you need NB to press the 6 buttons of a Sorc rotation. NB does not enable you to bypass the GCD.

Well. Meh. An engi intelligently using cannon smash can kill you quicker than a FB spec SW. Sw's that stance dance with FB are irritating though. To be honest however, it's those damned 2ft drops are the REAL bringers of Salt on this server imo...

To OP, if you only have 5.6k health as a DoK, I am guessing you stack the crap out of armor right? Whelp, that's what happens. The argument for toughness/wounds on this server is very strong. I suggest keeping yourself over 6k wounds, capped resistances and under 5% chance to be crit. Argue over tough vs armor as you wish. But that and CW3 will help to give you the ability to survive a good KD, or spike blast. W/o AoE detaunt though, it really comes down to how quick you can get that detaunt off on the right target...

@blasio if a Sorc is dropping you that fast, you must be DPSish. You can't forget resistances, and stack up disrupt/block with smart use of HtL and you should be fine... If you are 2h, then I no longer care.

Pretty much what Druin said. Fester Arrow with Enchanted Arrow tactic is highly gimicky. It's great when you hit the 4k, but standing still for 3s normally means death for a SW these days. Skirmish spec is normally much better for most situations, and gives you a more consistent damage source.

Festerbombs used to be bad on live, now they provide the occasional "oh ****" moment. Which is however rare, as 4000 dmg is the hardcap. (theoretical max FA dmg back in 2013 was somewhere between 15-20k?)

SWs are completely harmless compared to the other High Elf dps class that is the number one enemy of all the free people of Destruction...

Sorc/BW burst rotation can be so easily negated by cleanse, detaunt, pot, breaking LOS, they are quite harmless these days unless you fight in open terrain with no healers nearby, dont have detaunt on your action bar and have no idea what a pot is. ;)
