Return of Reckoning

Hi guys and girls,

I wanted to say a huge thank you to the people running and playing this iteration of Warhammer Online. I loved this game back in the day and was super excited to see this version up and running.

Sadly, given that our country's internet has no direct links to Europe I am forced to give it a miss, 350-400ms simply is too much to deal with. But with that said, thank you all for giving other a chance to play this little gem once again.

I play from Australia getting an average of 340ish ms. It is acceptable to play at, barring a few bs moments when you play as a melee toon.

Playing the game with high latency is pretty interesting no matter what toon you play. You can find that out yourself if you do give the server a shot.

Yeap, already have and its just a bit too janky for me to play. Joys of living in Australia it seems, although its disturbingly nice to see our NA brothers and sisters having to deal with a bit of lag for a change too

Great game indeed and much more agile development than on live with devs that have a vision and listen to us testers

Have you tried to use a VPN Connection to decrease your latency? I play from Sweden and get a ping on about 50 ms, but when I use a VPN i'm down to 5 ms

Hey Karl, yes I've tried a VPN but the problem is the Aussie internet must route via the US or Singapore before heading to EU. Unfortunately there isn't a cable that connects us directly to that side of the planet. That's the price for living all the way out here Cheers for the suggestion though.

Try playing a tank then as they rely less on having to hit certain CDs at precise times to stay alive.

Go AoE Armor Tinkerer Engie. You just hit everyone who is in 30-40 feet around you. Doesn't matter who it is, or if you see him or not with 300ms.
