I had been having some massive feelings of nostalgia about this game and missing it. The lowbie fighting in Nordland, the city invasions, finding all the hidden tome unlocks and the WAR world in general. I first started playing Games Workshop stuff when 40k first came out and was just called Rogue Trader and there were about 4 sets of miniatures to choose from. But Fantasy Battle completely won me over when they put that out.
Then years later, we got the MMO so when they announced the shutdown I was genuinely bummed out.
I was thinking about this game, did a search to see if by some chance a new WAR MMO was even being vaguely hinted at and found this. I didn't get my hopes up. I figured I would join, it would be buggy and there would be 8 people playing on a good day.
Holy crud was I wrong. I've never been happier to be wrong about something. Whatever voodoo you guys did to make this come back to life and have this strong of a community, thank you very very much!
