Why adding land of the dead now could be a bad thing

I recently watched the following video previewing Land of the Dead.

The fact that the land of the dead is one of the things that is currently being worked on is kind of alarming to me for two reasons.
Firstly, while I do not know what the progress is on for instance fort and city sieges and king battles, I think these are much more important to get ingame than the land of the dead. War is a game that revolves around RvR and the whole goal to RvR is missing atm. I have complete understanding for the devs being volunteers and not having a lot of time to implement all parts of the game in a short time span, however, if this means land of the dead will be in before city/king sieges than the prioritisation of features is just completely off. If this is just a side project and those take priority then this point is invalid.
Secondly, it is very questionable if adding the land of the dead is actually a positive thing to the game. It introduced so much incredible powerful pve gear that it required players to pve to be competitive. This is opposing one of the strong points of war, that it didn't require pve grinding to get the best gear you could get.
The land of the dead was meant as a roaming pvp zone with pve objectives, and while there definitely was PvP from time to time it was much more just a separate zone detained from everything else which was mostly impacted the gear players could acquire and the need to pve to gain it.
If the devs decide to release the land of the dead I hope they will add it as a bonus and not as a required pve grind to get the best gear. Not just the sets and weapons but also the absorb shield pocket items.
