D3DOverrider?

Anyone gotten this to work? I've actually gotten it to spontaneously work once or twice but I can't reproduce it for some reason.

Or has anyone any solutions for vsync/frame limiting? Crimson AMD software of course doesn't work, FPS limiter program doesn't work, radeon pro vsync/frame limiting/hz settings all don't work. Kinda of out of ideas here.

This game is so spastic with it's frame rate I think it would really benefit from an FPS cap or at least vsync.

MSI Afterburner is your friend to cap the game.

Are you talking about rivatuner statistics server that comes with MSI afterburner? That doesn't work either and is what d3doverrider is ripped from.

I'll reinstall and tinker with it a bit, I'm also using reshade so that might be interfering with how it hooks?

edit: Was reading around, apparently riva tuner is "outdated" and radeon pro does everything it used to but better, so I decided to give it a try again. Didn't work, but I found this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/GrandTheftAuto ... adeon_pro/

Followed the settings replacing GTA with WAR. And it works perfectly.

Vsync works, frame limiter works, and i'm assuming all the other toys with the program do as well. And of course it doesn't interfere with my reshade settings.

edit2: even things like AF and everything I could do through my crimson software works without any problems, AMD really does have **** drivers.

I used to run D3D Overrider before to prevent screen tearing on my AMD 4850, but then i realized i can just run the game in windowed fullscreen mode so tripple buffering is forced by default under win8/10 = no tearing. Still cant get any AMD drivers to work for that GPU to be able force AA and AF.

Oh yeah, the above comment reminded me, there is an issue where when playing in windowed mode under Win10 (not sure about older Windows) the application gets handled by Windows Desktop Manager and not nVidia inspector/nVidia control panel or CCC or whatever the equivalent is for AMD.

You can test the tools that weren't working in fullscreen instead of windowed and if they work then you'll have to figure out how to force the drivers to handle the app in windowed mode instead of WDM. Google is your friend. :D
