Return of Reckoning

Hello guys, on live I was a rr80+ kotbs so now I decided to invest in a different gameplay style, mdps.

I'm just trying to choose between WL, WH, Mara or Slayer and actually I can't decide.
I'm attracted from any of these classes and got lvl.10+ but really can not decide.

I would like to play almost solo (i'm not an everyday online player with guild) but also be able to join a party sometimes.
Im the usual casual player that like to roam for duels and join oRvR in wb/sc.

As lore and feeling I would like to be a Slayer, but I read it's really team/guard dependant..
Any experencied player suggestions about the feel of the class in endgame will be appreciated,

Slayer and choppa are the most group dependent mdps in the game. If you want to solo, you're far better off as a witch hunter or white lion. Solo slayer/choppa just gets rekt in my experience. Dont think I've ever lost 1v1 to a choppa ever. Then again, it might be impossible to lose to one as 2h ib :p

Slayer is the worst possible choice for casual solo play. You can kinda make some solo-gank build at the end of T3, but thats about it.
In any kind of mass event, from a short skirmish to a siege you gonna be useless 90% of the time, and when the chance to fight finally comes you gonna die quickly without proper teamplay and protection. Its a little better in scenarios when there are close spaces, walls and chokepoints, but still pretty bad without a team.

Saying that as someone who made a mistake making slayer a first and main character, its just a pain 80% of the time until you reach top exp/gear of the bracket.
Also there's a severe lack of tanks and healers on the Order side so chances to just get some random guard in PUG are even lower.

WH is probably the best choice for solo - thats his natural habitat, but WL and Mara can be decent too, they aren't as vulnerable as Slayer and have some decent CC, even if you aren't geared enough to deal damage you still gonna be useful with debuffs and CC.

Also quite important IMO is that both Mara and WL have armor reduction and armor piercing abilities, which allows them to chip tanks(Destro have A LOT of them) more effective than a Slayer can, which will be your main buisness in PUGs most of the time because going for a backline without coordinated support is a suicide

If you decide to play Slayer try to make as many social connections as possible, make friends ingame, find an active guild, join Discord server and so on

WL, WH or Mara are all better solo play choices

SL is just too reliant on guard and heal inorder to reach it's full potential but in a cordinated environment their is no class that can out dmg a bezerk slayer/choppa


If ou want to play a dwarf solo then consider a 2h ironbreaker

WH would get my vote, good fun and they look awesome too .

Solo roaming, group play... it is not about that.
It is about playing the coolest fantasy race ever or not.

thank you guys! I've got my idea.

I will decide between wl/mara/wh (and 2h IB eheh).

What I think right now is to try the destro side of the game, I have been always on order, so maybe a mara could be a good choice.
But also I like the idea to be in a random stealthers guild with a wh, if it exists on this server.
Imagine a wh party roaming in rvr, would be really funny
