Return of Reckoning

Hi. I just discovered this game recently, but played some mmos before so i'm not complete noob. Anyways, i started as a dwarf and did a bit of empire vs chaos story, but then teleported to dwarfs starting area, because it's always been my favourite race in any fantasy world. What struck me the most, compared to empire area, dwarfen is completely empty, no one plays there, which sucks as I would love to play there more. Is it like that always there or am i unlucky?

This private server is based on version 4.80(?) of the live game

At that point in time of this version of the game on live the player base had shrunk so the original game devs made everyone start in empire, and so people dont really go to the other rvr zones in t1

People neglect the pairings besides Chaos/Empire, for reasons including not enough players, and a want to get right into action as soon as possible.

Like live, t1 revolves around Nordland. The devs are indifferent to changing this, but they are not to blame. Players will take the quickest route back to Nordland because that is where the action is.

If you're looking to do content other than RvR in Chaos/Empire pairing in t1, then I regret to inform you that you're in for a lonesome experience.

Well, that's sad for me. I hope it will get better maybe in the future. Thanks for clearing that up for me though.

I suggest... remove all flight masters and make races spawn in their respective zones. Or up the cost of flying. Make travelling more expensive and force players to walk.

We tried changing this. Even went so far as removing all RR gains from Nordland if it were not the active zone. People still fought in Nordland and complained about it being different.

Yes I realize. I blame the players not the devs. You guys can only do so much, but in the end its the players who decide what they want to do, which is unfortunate since it removes part of the game and immersion.

Yup. When i was teleporting to dwarven area i imagined epic RVR among other fellow dwarfs, and boom, empty area. But i don't blame devs too, players play where the action is, and apparently the got used to nordland so much that it's hard to convince them. I guess i will be lonely ironbreaker then lol.

I will join you when I get a chance. Hit up Krugni or Thorkin if you ever see me online. Together we'll paint the mountains red with greenskin blood.
