Not sure what the difference between melee power and strength. How does melee power effect your damage over strength?

Also found:

"it doesn’t help lower your opponent’s parry, block rate against your attacks"

Works same for RoR?

I remember on live it was 1 str = 1mp...no?

It used to be 1:1 but it was not helping with strike through defense.

Yes, that's what I remember. I think it is the same in ror.

Basically

Strenght has a cap that sits somewhere around 1150 (soft cap starts at 1k?)
from that point on every strenght stat you get is gimped down so it's quite hard to get anywhere close to 1200 (or even less)
But Melee Power let's you pass that point by increasing your melee damage/performance like you would if you had more strenght.

So get that Str soft cap and stack Melee Power to further increase your dps/damage.
