What is better for overall gaming in your opinion? This LG 38 inch Ultrawide (4k) 75Hz or an Asus ROG 34 inch Curved (1440p) 100Hz

Also, because the LG has Freesync instead of Gsync, am I really missing out considering I have a 980ti ?

Up til now I've been using a 42 inch Samsung LCDTV, so I think either one of these would be a massive jump in visual clarity, but the only downside is the smaller size.

when you realize that these both monitors cost combined as much as your car and your computer...
Arthic has some money to spend for us ;)

I bought one for 25 bucks at the closest computer parts shop I ever bought. Best thing I ever bought. It doesnt matter as long as it works.

Anyone feel like the LG would be a bad purchase? It is pretty much the largest format, close to 4k monitor out there. It's not ideal for FPS games, but then again I'm not playing many of those anymore, and I really want a picture that cuts down on screen tearing.

I've owned an ASUS ROG SWIFT Curved PG348Q for around two months. It is the one of the most popular gaming monitor available on the market nowadays

No regrets on buying this display. Absolutely no problem when overclocked to 100 Hz, the smoothness is unbelievable 8-)
My only point to make out, is that the stand takes up a LOT of space behind the monitor.

Neither of them. Get a 1080p monitor with 120+Hz and a graphic card to maintain the same FPS and you are golden.

BenQ, Eizo, Asus.

Everything else is a bad purchase in my opinion,...

perhabs if you only stick to mmorpgs / racing games your monitors are a good investment. even if you play FPS causal I would commend a 144hz.

+If you play on a native resolution and got a potato under your desk you will run a diashow.
