Return of Reckoning

Hi I would like to discuss and compare up to the latest patch the strong and weak aspects of all the classes and mirrors. So if we the community can rate each class in their class-category in how good they are in their respective role from rank 1-3 (1 being best and 3 worst) then that would be a great comparison for players to look at, though this should not stop players from having fun in whatever class they pick, just get a better understanding as a whole. If you think something else needs to be added when comparing feel free to add that in your answers. This is only a simplified comparison to draw out general strength and weaknesses, no need to complicate things, that's for another topic.

Seriously, any tank can be tanky as **** (yes even SM's, especially on RoR). Score based purely on achieving tankyness. What a tank has to give up to become as tanky as it can be is an entirely different matter.

SM has better DoT/sustained dps than BO, but does not match a BO SYG's burst dps.

WP/DoK aren't the best AoE healers?

1 on 1 against a clothie definitely. In group play Blurring Shock/WW coupled with double spirit debuffs (one is mandatory in rotation the other passive) results in more Damage Per Second than any BO could ever wish for.

Skull thumper is corporeal? Skull thumper thrives not of your own attack but your 2-3 dps. That is the great thing about BS and ST.

Sm provides better consistent damage against all targets, true. But for raw dps BO still better. Also I'm pretty sure skull is affected by syg? In retrospect SM better overall in competitive environment due to low resists (excluding bo utility), but a bo assisting a mara will apply more pressure imo, whereas a SM doesn't need any dps prerequisite due to selfish double spirit debuff as you said.

Stab You Gooder has 0% impact on skull thumper. If you read the tooltip it gives zero reason to believe otherwise. The proc on Skull is not a critical hit by itself.

So:
- Low armor ratings --> no effect on skull
- armor debuff --> no effect on skull
- m1 ds --> no effect on skull
- crit tactic --> no effect on skull
- ws --> no effect on skull

My guildleader runs a 2H SM and he actually did not take the greatweapon crit tactic (which 99% of sm' s that play 2H do), but the +10% damage one instead due to the former having no effect on blurring shock; with great effect.

Anyway I digress, this topic is being derailed. SM and BO are respective top when it comes to tank DPS.
