Grim Dawn

While the servers are down I started playing Grim Dawn.

I haven't enjoyed an ARPG since Diablo 2, I tried Path of Exile and Diablo 3 but meh. I have to say though, man this game is something special.

If you haven't played it yet, I highly recommend it. It has a very warhammer style and look to it, akin to the empire side of course. And its not quite as constant fast paced smash and grab like other ARPGs lately.

I play a Witch Hunter who specializes in plagues and blood magic. I have an ability called Bloody Pox that spreads to enemies, dealing high damage and causes them to enrage, gaining massive damage bonuses, but also attack friend or foe causing mass chaos while I gun em down. The Customization for Builds and gear is so immense but not overly complicated. And the game is so smoothe, which is a problem I had with Path of Exile (Also theres pants in this game!)

Just wanted to share this with yall to help scratch that warhammer online itch we are all feeling.

If you like ARPGs, Grim Dawn is a fine choice. I also highly recommend Path of Exile, as it is very well done if you're a D1/D2 fan.

If you like Warhammer turn based strategy, have a look at:

Ya, Grim Dawn is a good one. I've been playing a bit of it myself while the servers are down.

I started with Total War: Warhammer but it really get old fast. I started as Vampire Counts and wrecked face. I can play it prolly in a few months as a different faction but for the money I spent on it I am really disappointed. I am going to check out Grim Dawn.

How did you approach getting a refund and how long was it since your purchase? I did all the DLC content too it was like 70$ I wanna stab myself pretty much lol

I am downloading Grim Dawn now it actually looks pretty good.

One of the best ARPG of all the time, I´ve played around 560 hours. You can create a lot differents characters with a great customization (unlike in Diablo 3).It has a nice and dark aesthetic. For now is for me the best ARPG after Diablo 2 LOD (I'm a nostalgic). I recomended this game to 100%, is modable and it will have different game modes and expansions. Sorry my english.

I almost bought Grim Dawn but then I decided to just start playing Diablo 3 again.

Total War is a bust and I am really regretful that I spent another 20 bucks on the Beast Men campaign. Maybe I will go back to it later but I have no desire to play it right now. The Grand Campaign is just really awful.

I am looking forward to No Man's Sky but also afraid that it is overhyped and will end up kind of boring and pointless.
