Seal of Domination

Since the release of T4 and prior to the removal of 100% chance of a defense roll, players have been incentivized and rewarded for AFKing or showing up late to keep defenses, as the contribution system has arbitrarily rewarded those players who've put the least amount of work into actually fighting on a keep. Keep defense rolls compared to successful keep takes have been awarded, in my estimation, at a 6:1 ratio at this point.
To date Destruction has locked the entirety of RVR 4 times since the release of T4, meaning there may be Destruction players with 4 Seals on them at this point in time. Order has come 1 keep away from earning their first before seal reaching a standstill on the last keep in BC because of a door bug and subsequent resetting of the campaign by a GM- which, to be fair, also happened to destruction not once but twice in Reikland.
Shivane, a database developer playing on destruction, mentioned yesterday that the seals we've earned at this point might be wiped. This makes zero sense to me.
Shouldn't we recognize, incentivize and reward the communication, strategy and effort it's taken to capture 9 keeps in a row without losing a single one? Can we get an idea of the future purpose of these Seals? Can we get an idea if these are going to get wiped or not? If they're going to get wiped and they serve zero purpose, please let me know so I can join in on the keep afking and oil pouring parties so I too can finally recieve a purple bag.

It doesn't really make sense to wipe something we have no clear and defined use for yet.

What are the
communication, strategy and effort
when you take empty keeps and fight vs defender witch have 200% aao ?
Continue to zerg Destru, and you will be soon alone vs npc.
You should be reward with a title like "Conqueror" or something like that esthetic.
Not to be even more powerfull.
So a lot of ppl have between 1 to 4 seal Destro side vs Zero Order Side.
Yeah, very fair, and of course it's because you are so much more better at "communication strategy and effort" ...
NOT At ALL, because you outnumber us when you are so much more than us, that you can split and capture multiple keep at a time.

While I realize it is much preferred to fight an even battle as the defender of a keep where you don't have to do anything except dump oil and run out the door to your death and hit respawn without a penalty, and collect purple bags- you might want to rethink your tactics and not make excuses if you intend to actually lock a zone.

The fault in your reasoning is that it actually takes time and effort to earn a Seal of Domination/Retribution. Theoretically speaking I could profit from 200% aao and farm renown on order then relog my destro character (that I don't have

) as the last keep is about to go down and profit. While I agree with your general sense of reasoning that people should not be rewarded so much for passively sitting in keeps, as you can see, focusing the rewards on the seal may not be a good idea either.
