Return of Reckoning

I'm a n00b, and trying to understand the point of BOs. I haven't done high lvl pvp, but in tier 1 through 3 no one defends the BOs and they aren't worth anything...so it seems like a roadblock between sieges that has no actual point? Could someone please explain their intent to me? Should people be fighting over them? When one side is clearly outnumbered they just turtle up with AOO rather than get slaughtered at a BO.

I think BO's were intended to be an off-tank that provided a blend of dps and tank support. While not as buff-bot as the chosen, the dps potential of the BO along with his utility really let's it shine in group play.

I'm not sure what you mean by no one defending black orcs. Quite a few ppl think they are great tanks worth quite a bit to the group.

Current design intent: Barrier to attacking keep.

Future design intent: Means of acquiring siege weapons and war materièl. They increase the rate at which you can field the aforementioned tools, as well as the total number you can field at any one time. They also provide control over a certain area of the map, which allows construction of palisades within.

Future design intent looks pretty cool.
