Return of Reckoning

I am having in issue with the quest chosen from Gunnar in Troll country where you have to kill Blightgore and get the Soulblight stone and take it back to Gunnar, but when i kill Blightgore the stone dose not drop other things drop and i can do scavening on the mob but that's about it, what should i do?

Have you gone back to Gunnar and attempted to turn the quest back in to him?

yea i have more then once i even abandoned it and started it over.
