Appearance - Invisible shield

I was playing around earlier today with a KOTBS using only a 1h sword and I though it looked pretty boss, problem is, it sucks, obviously, so I was thinking, would it be possible to have an appearance item that's either invisible in the off hand or a very tiny shield that you don't see, and while we're on the subject of appearance stuff, where's that big thread where people requested cool NPC geat to be put in as appearance?

You'd be blocking with your wrist then. Wouldn't that look a bit strange?

Right, I didn't of animations. You would try and apply the 2h parry anim on blocks for when you that item, but it's probably too much effort at this point

Generally speaking, anything that shows you as fighting with a different "style" than you are will be a no-go. 1h sword w/ invisible shield would look too similar to 2h in an open fight. Not to mention you have a freaking invisible shield!

Warhammer, and GW as a whole, has always been run with the WYSIWYG theory of models. What You See Is What You Get. No chars with 2h animations that have a shield, no chalice for a dual wielding DoK, etc etc.

They did have a shield for the WP book though, which I thought was cool, so they do have the capability. And I remember Aza talking about how adding Dual Wield to a Wp or 2h to a DoK wouldn't be a down-right "No!", so the possibility of those types of actual changes are there.

The animation would be radically different (except the parrying/blocking one, maybe), the swords are also a lot smaller.
