[Swordmaster] phantom's blade

Hello,

This have been bothering me since a realy long time and specialy when they changed nature's blade on live back in the days.

Would it be that bad if phantom's blade was turned into a group buff?

Nature's blade is a steal stats that bénéfit all of the group
Heaven's blade reduce the resist of the target wich benefit all the group
So i was wondering why isnt phantom'sblade a group buff?

Looking at the SM contribution to a party i dont think it would be a bad thing to have it that way.

what do you all think about it?

This, alongside with Aethric Armor are the only 2 SM abilities that can/have to be changed once T4 opens up without much discussion. *Cough* Defensive Pounce *Cough*... jkjk (-.o)

Dont see the harm of making this a group absorb on proc, might have to adjust the value of the absorb a bit.

I think both the BO, and especially the SM, needs some love, but we need to wait for T4 to make balance changes. The forums will be opened once T4 has been released. I'd love if you would make this suggest again in the balance forums, once they have been opened :) Then we can have a discussion about the actual changes.

Personally, I would love to see many of the masteries of the SM to be moved around or even completely changed. The only good masteries are deep in the 3 trees, so you end in this situation where you spend +9 points to get a single ability, and then you're kinda scratching your head, because you've spend almost half your points, but you've gotten almost nothing out of it. Compared to any other tank, let alone any other class, this is simply not up to par.

Lol, exactly! This looks familiar? :P Literally the only good mastery in the entire tree, and arguably the only one worth speccing into, in Hoeth.

I like SM evasive nature (i think it was made around this idea...) but i don't think PB should be a group buff...im trying to build one around absorbs. All 3 shields and a hefty amount of dodge, parry, disrupt. A buff will be to allow PB to update itself. That way it will have more use for SM and still not op.

Agree with you. The SM is a decent tank, but out of all the tanks he's probably the most self-centred as he brings relatively little to a group. Was it not for Winds, SMs would find it very difficult to get a spot in a group, and nobody likes being a one-ability-wonder. I'm sure the Devs have some thoughts on this as well, but T4 takes priority, so let's wait with baited breath.

Blurring Shock>Whispering Winds in most cases.
Blurring Shock+Wrath of Hoeth Debuff is crazy damage when doing single target focus damage.
