Yeh eBay or local trading sites are good to get em. They maybe badly painted, or even oldish models, but still allowed.
Can easily remove paint from metal models, but plastic is a bit trickier. Have a nosey on the web to find something to remove paint from plastic/metal and give it a on a few of your own before buying a load online.
