Return of Reckoning

Hello all,

First I would like to say that I think it's awesome that a community formed to keep this game going. I played this a few years ago, but quit to go back to WoW and try other mmo's. Recently, I got the itch to give it another go and was disappointed to find that it had been shut down last year. So I was thrilled to find that a private server and community had started to keep the game alive.

With that said, I wanted to see what the communities thoughts were on multiboxing? I am not looking to pvp, just explore the world and do basic pve stuff on my own. I dont know how large the community is, but if I remember correctly, there are a lot of group events that I think would make multiboxing ideal.

Obviously, if the community does not approve, I wont do it, but I would hope that you may be open to it. Out of respect for what you all have done to keep this game alive, I wanted to get permission from the mods/owners. I am happy doing it solo or multiboxing, so whatever the decision is, I will abide. I just prefer multiboxing for some strange reason. Again, I have no intention on pvping (unless requested by the community?) or even know if the server has pvp enabled.

Anyways, please let me know your thoughts.

Personally I am not in favour of it, to many possibilities for abusing. Others might use it in PvP. But lets wait for a dev response here. Thanks for taking the community wishes in account!

Thank you both for the reply. I definitely understand the hesitation given that not everyone is responsible. I would like to hear what the dev's thoughts are as well.

I agree with Kragg, but would like to add why.

While I love the technical side of multi-boxing, its probably not a good idea. As things stand now, it would create even more unbalance. Particularly for this server, since the population is small and still tying to grow. Even with farm it could disrupt the economy of things as well once the AH is up and running. You would corner the market .

I am against multiboxing. It was hell to fight against a known bw in the orginal game because he onehitted everyone. In the original game you had to pay for each account. Try to imagine how this would end in a f2p game. I wonder why anyone ever comes on such an unfair idea.

Also against multiboxing, having researched what it is.

mm i'm against multiboxing for what what was said above but i 110% in favour of being able to switch realm on same account, until be able to play both realm do not get any reward is ok

This is a great point and one that I had not thought of. I can see how it might have a greater impact on a small world economy. Especially if more followed suit.
