Is the server down?

Is the server down ? Or is it just on my end I have problems? I just installed the game and an old school warhammer player but when I load up the game it doesn't seem to do any handshaking to the server. The right box is just empty and eventually I will get an Authentication error.
Anyone else having problems?

What is exact issue you're having, any error messages?

Authenthication error message, after 10-15 seconds on the log-in screen. Its like its not trying to connect to the server at all.

Something is preventing it from establishing connection with the server. Could you try adding the game folder to the anti virus and firewall exception list?

Added it to the windows firewall approved list now - still doesn't work

The problem I've been having trying to help people fix their authentication error problem is that there's no consistent cause to it. I still don't know for certain what triggers it, and why. I've never had it personally and I've never been able to recreate it.
Some people said their antivirus caused it, other said that an unknown program running was preventing it from connecting.
Past suggestions I've given were:
- Exceptions in antivirus and firewall list.
- Virus scans and malware scans.
- Ccleaner registry.
- Run a VPN to connect.
- Force set compatibility modes (though that is a long shot and I never expect this to fix it).

PC is brand new I just had the rig up and running today, so there shouldn't be anything to clean
I will try and redownload, if not I just hope for a fix sometime soon otherwise I guess I wont be playing warhammer again

That's very odd indeed, working on the basis that all .net framework and the likes are installed (latest Windows updates etc).
Could try a VPN to see if bypassing some network region issue that could be preventing it, but other than that I'm not sure what else it could be
