Can't create Character

Problem solved!
As it seems, I wasn't connected to the Server. So I followed these steps to fix that error issue

and everything works just fine now! :)

I'll leave this post here, so some people might see how it can be fixed, if any of them have the same issue that I had.

Hey there. I downloaded the game with the patch and the Launcher.
Did everything the guide wanted me to do.
As soon as I click "connect", an error appears:

but still the game starts....
The problem is... I can't see any Servers or the possibility to create a Character.

Where did I go wrong, or did I miss something to add or whatever...?

Thats how it looks like... if I remember right, there should be a Character standing (after i create them) or the possibilitiy to click there and start creating it.

unlucky timing, the server was down briefly for patch/hotfix. try again

The "who's online" tab tells me there are plenty of players online. Still no chance to create a Character :(

Same issue here...set all the files to read only and did the lodctr /r command, but no change. Any other ideas?

I had this issue. I had to unzip the launcher into the Warhammer Online - return of Reckoning Folder to make it work. I then created a shortcut for the RoR launcher on my Desktop and it connected fine and allowed me to create characters.
