Return of Reckoning

A friend of mine recently tried to make an account but was unable to due to what I'm assuming is a false blacklisting? She's never played on the server before yet her IP/ISP seems to be rejected. I'm posting on her behalf because she cannot make an account therefore cannot post on these forums nor contact the staff. Is this a common issue? Any fixes?

Let me know if I can assist further and any help is appreciated.

Where is she from?

It's probably related to a DDOS'ing incident the server had where IP's were automaticly blocked from some countries in order to prevent it.

To add, this is part of the message she received.

"An entry on the blacklist may have several reasons:
1. You are a well-known spammer.
2. Last time a well-known spammer was using the dynamic IP address which you got from your ISP (Internet Service Provider), your e-mail address or the username you have choosen.
3. Your ISP is well-known for a lot of spamming customers and is not fighting against spammers enough."

If there's a private discussion I could open with a mod or whomever, I could disclose the more private information shared in the aforementioned response. I attempted the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom but my account was invalid, according to the site.

Tell her to connect via proxy and check if that solves the problem. Keep in mind that most of the proxy IPs will be banned everywhere for 99% so you need a really reliable proxy service.

As an alternative she could go with her laptop and connect via some hotspot (if that's an option) or tether the internet connection from her mobile's data plan (if that's an option) thus bypassing the use of her "home" IP and using a different one.

If she connects no problems that way it confirms her particular IP address was blacklisted (there can be many reasons for that) and now she has to follow steps to unblacklist it. If you are 100% sure already you can skip the troubleshooting part and proceed directly to unblacklisting the IP. There is a lot of resources in the web on that matter, you can check for example here: http://whatismyipaddress.com/blacklist-removal or search google for "how do I unblacklist my IP?"

Edit. I just noticed whatismyipaddress.com also offers a service to check if a particular IP is blacklisted on any DNS (actually they are dns based spam dbs) so she might try that direclty to confirm the blacklisting instead of going through the hassle I described at the beginning. http://whatismyipaddress.com/blacklist-check

This is probably due to a cloudflare IP being blacklisted, happened to me once. Try using another internet connection, like or a phone or tablet , to register. Alternatively, use a proxy.
