Eternal Crusade is an up and coming mmofps which is currently in early access on steam. It currently plays as a lobby shooter but thats due to be expanded upon fairly soon as we move through the different stages of testing during alpha/steam early access

For what i gathered this game seems to be a major cash grab without anything good in it besides it being 40k.

So like 90% of the warhammer ip videogames.

Well i got this game when it was realsed with a discount on steam but because of RoR i have played only one match so far

but i swear to go they better not **** this up i had to burn most of my dota 2 hats on the steam market and had to choose between EC and XCOM 2
they better not **** mah dive rolling orks

Id normally agree with bloodi but battlefleet gothic armade looks amazing

Anything that comes even close to Homeworld and Rise of the Empire space battles its cool to me.

Game is pretty solid shooter so far. Rest of the stuff is yet to come but it's still Alpha anyway.

This isn't a cash grab, I have actual faith in this.

Plus it's going to have Orks and Eldar as faction on release along with SM and CSM. That alone is worth playing.

Plus it's persistent fighting over territory, won't suffer from 2 faction imbalance since there's 4 AND there's even an AI Tyranid faction to deal with one faction if they get too big by forcing them to fight off Tyranid incursions more often than the other factions if they're weak on the map presence.

Super excited for this game.

Edit: Armada is also looking quite cool. It's like EVE and Homeworld2 had a baby with Unreal 4 as the nanny.

To be honest, I think its shaping up nicely. I did get the cash grab impression at one point, but now I am reassured.

they have recently hired another 16 members of staff to work on the project. they have the third race coming together nicely, should be playable on the founders server in a month or so. we got a new map landing today, with another 4 in the pipeline. (including a 30vs30 fortress map)

and I know it was itially sold as a 40k planetside two , and is currently playing as a lobby shooter. They keep reiterating that it is their intention to scale the game to planet side scale. but they want to focus on getting solid gameplay before scaling it up.

The fact that it aspires to be like Planetside2 is another reason i dont have any faith in this game at all.

No one plays Planetside2 anymore, why would anyone look up to it?
