Return of Reckoning

Out of the melee classes, which class has a kind of channeling ability?
If there are multiple, which of these do the most damage?
I've seen some melees deal massive chunks of damage with their channeled abilities and I wan't to check them out

Every tank has at least one channeled ability, usually in their "DPS" tree. The Choppa and Slayer both have one that helps improve their survivability some, since it's essentially a lifetap. Otherwise, other MDPS classes have them but generally don't use them, because they don't get their autoattacks while channeling.

I hate to break it to you but almost every channeled melee ability is terrible, if you saw one of them doing tons of damage it was probably from something else.

The only exception ( someone correct me if i forgot one) is the slayer/choppa self heal, and lets face it, slayers are too busy speccing ID, so the only one you would see on this server is the choppa one.

Oh, and wrecking ball is awesome. Not from the damage, but just because its awesome.

wrong Ether Dance and Tree Hit Combo

are both awesome and staple abilites basically espically for DPS BO and SM

besides that DPS DoK and WP also have there melee channel heals as well

Enraged Beatings deserves a mention, the best channels are ones that you get a secondary benefit out of.

I think Sizer was talking strictly MDPS.

If Channels were made so you didn't sacrifice your autoattacks then they would be amazing and always worth it, considering the general AP cost and ability to be interrupted.

Unless they get buffed so that you don't feel like you're losing DPS when you use them.

i doubt a melee channel will get 15ft range any day

Would like ED much more if it was not a channelling skill but a sort of more damaging DS (without the build times increase ), but i'm not suggesting for a change.
ED atm can be useful for a little more burst (if u debuff properly, if not is just a waste) but u can't rely on it with all those cc and interrupts flying over the battlefield and i wouldn't call it awesome yet.
Would need to test in t4 but the hoeth spec for now give u more overral dps just by WoH EB DS scaling.

I'm against a generic dps buff for channelling skills, but many of them need a revamp for sure.
