Chosen : 2H or shield at lv32?

What are your thoughts about the chosen 2H? 1H + shield?'
Is it worth playing 2H and rushing "Oppressing Blows" but not being able to have "Discordant Turbulence"? Or playing 2H with DT but without OB?
I'm wondering if the dmg/crit with the 2H are worth without OB or if it would be better to be more tanky with a shield.
Also, what RA would you pick in 2H? shield?
That'd be to play in SC and 3man with sorc and chamy.

I tried it you become unhealable pretty quickly once the rpds realise you have no avoidance.
Ill assume as your 3 man you wont be bombing just strap on a shield you'll be most effective letting the sprc do her job.

Run 2h. You'll be much tastier to flames or blade. Each time i see 2h chosen i look at him as a nicely packed free renown gift.
That should answer your question.

Shield IMO. Mitigate damage. That is what tanks can do best so best do it. This includes blocking rather than hurting from a lot of Guard damage, which allows the healers to concentrate on keeping the DPS alive which in turn allows the DPS to kill things (which is what they do best).
Also with so much RDPS dmg on Order right now Hold The Line (which requires shield) is pretty important.
2H is an option when you know you are better than your opponent so can afford to lose the extra mitigation for more DPS, or for specialist crit-builds like Crippling Strikes debuffing.
These are my thoughts.

Try all specs and see what works for you...what's your playstyle?
I tried all the builds and for me rending blade build was the most fun and effective by far!
You are a bit more squishy than with shield but if you spec right(toughness-parry) you will only die when you are heavily focused by 2 or more BW's and the healers don't cleanse.

back in Vanilla I was legitimately one of the absolute most feared Chosen on our server - I had old videos of 3 or 4 on ones that I would live thru while dealing insane amounts of damage; interrupting on a regular basis and causing bleeds etc - if I was completely alone getting ganked only two or three times could two guys take me out in a combo; usually I'd fair with 3 with one retreating - It wasn't all gear either.... It was something in how I specced and the way I executed the abilities in a specific order - I used to have MMO PVP down to a science, as I just made a new chosen (Thank you for bringing back my all time favorite Post "WoW Destroying Endless Titles" era of MMORPG's the 2005-present day era has WAR as my Favorite MMORPG; remembering going deathless in queues while bashing players into lava are all great - but the problem with my spec is I refused to share it (although I believe their had been a website by EA that showed it unless you hit private? I don't remember exactly) - I need to find old photos in an old photobucket or something that shows the gear synergy with the abilities I had - I believe I figured out the two trees that I spec'd in but it feels like AGES ago.
I always was a Sword and Board guy; and I dealt INSANE DPS with wonderful survivability!!!!!!

Depends what you want to do, what your group needs, if you are running solo etc.
If you are in a 2-healer group, either SnB or 2h works. Slot Tzeentch's Amp for your M2 and pop it when you think the DPS is going to focus you, and just laugh it off.
I run with about 700+ Str and 500+ toughness, and that's tanky enough that I wont die to a couple of DPS trying to spike me down, and strong enough to put on the pressure. Stack a bit of parry so you can guard, and always have suppression up.
as shown in this thread people will attack you as a tank for the simple reason you are using a 2h, use that to your advantage.
All that being said, if I am solo tanking for a group with 2 MDPS. I will swap the 2h for SnB, you don't want your tank to be the weak link.
Unless our group is running 3 tanks (which is actually pretty awesome) I always like to have at least one SnB tank, and if I can only have one tank, I would prefer it to be a chosen.
