Ballistic vs. Initiative

I'm trying to calculate how this two stat works. My main question here: how much Initiative do I need at lvl 32 to have a chanse to dodge an arrow from a 850 Ballistic player?
Other topic but still releated: there is two Order career with Ballistic as main skill (SW and Enginner) but only one Destro (SH). So for Destro player building Initiative is more profitabel.
According to Warhammer Wikia, Initiative gives dodge only vs ranged attacks. Is this correct in this server as well?

You will never be able to stack enough initiative to get a decent amount of Dodge, so don't bother trying. The only practical way to improve Dodge is through the renown ability, if its available.
Adding extra initiative can be useful for reducing your chance to be crit. If being crit is a concern, you should aim to get enough Initiative to reduce your base chance of being crit to about 13%. At level 32, this would be abut 225 Initiative. This amount of Initiative would be high enough to reduce the effects of initiative debuffs to reasonable levels.

Stacking initiative to dodge something is absolutely useless. Better spec for
this.
Dodge helps only against physical range DDs (the ones you mentioned).
