Hello everyone,
Sorry if (i think, somebody already did it but i cant find this) there was topic like this one.
The question: is it possible to add to the black guards weaponry the two handed sword?
I remember that there was one from LoTD so black guard has animation for this kind of weapon.
Community, what do you think about it? Will you like it? Or none really cares?

ps: why not to give AK-47 instead?

Why not? They can have two handed swords in this universe.
And it`s cool! As i said, there was a two handed sword for black guards but it was in Lotv with Lotv weapon design

Executioners of Hag Ganeth

Those are Executionners as pointed by Toldavf, not Blagckguards. I wouldn't be bothered by BG using 2H swords but there are people here who care about the lore, and since Executionners are not a class available to players it would be a bit breaking.
And on a more practical point of view, I don't think there's enough Dark Elf 2Hswords weaponry in game to have enough variations to work with, meaning it would be necessary to create new assets, and it would be a lot of work.

we had what 4+ years were the game was "lore friendly"?

Does no one here want something different and new? No one here wants new and different stuff?


Does lore even matter that that AoS **** all over everything?

Okay, lore is lore. But this server is a kinda new life of WHO. Why it is bad to add something new? Maybe it is possible to add those swords with new lore turn?

First of all, Black Guards ONLY use halberds in the lore. Swordmasters ONLY use two handed greatswords. That being said, the progression of both Swordmaster and Blackguard is similar to starting off as a basic core trooper (look at the armour sets) and being recruited to one of the specialized forces.

When i see a SnB Swordmaster, It looks more like a High Elf noble doing battle, and when I see a SnB Blackguard (80% of em) I see the unkillable Dark Elf Masters (yeah they were unkillable on the table top), You have to earn your right to become a BG, Malekith only takes the best, and if you don't make the cut who says you can't become a Executioner or a Cold One knight.

Also please make some of the Green weapons use the RR 83 Halberd models from live...people complain about lore but not a single BG atm can actually use a freaking halberd.

Rather than 2H sword, I would give BG acces to knockdown for 2H spec
