They need people to be interested and play even in the lower tiers in order to test things.

If you logged in 2 hours in a week because you hit rr40 then its the grind you like not so much the game.
I think the majority of people play to feel like the are making progress.

I hit rr40 on my Sorc awhile ago. I haven't decreased my playtime, because I have a fun group and enjoy my class. Others I know have switched to alts once they hit 40, to feel like they're making progress.

Tell me someting

How intrested to you think new players will be once t3 comes and players are forced to grind through pretty much dead t1-2?

Cause it slow enough as it is but with very few sc pops inbetween due to low tier population

Your going to have to go through mob after mob

That's going to be a big problem honestly, I would hope as a placeholder of sorts they just have a quest that you can take that gives you enough XP to hit level 22. And then when they have time come up with a better method that includes the lower tiers.

Id like to see a /level command similar to DAoC

Also, if they fix rats to spam right from the hole and instant respawn like on live, lvling is crazy fast.

well atm there is no reward for lock, you only get 800 rp for capture the keep and you get the same value from a flag, there is no lock reward (of anykind atm) so def farm is the best and it was alredy said that this may happen due to aao or the new rvr system itself.

Ya it doesn't matter what, just do people can skip the lower tiers if they want to. I know the devs put a lot of work and care into the game as a whole including the lower tiers, but in the servers current state subjecting people to t1/2 when t3 is out is going to turn a lot of people off because those tiers will inevitably be a ghost town unless they come up with an ingenious system to keep them alive/relevant and also have the capability to implement it.

The only downside is this will make cross realming a bit easier, but I still think the RR grind is probably the biggest obstacle for a lot of people.

Im totally against insta high levels.
Some players barely know how to play their class, imagine giving them insta high level...

Implying you learn how to play your class in the lower levels.

This game doesn't take that much skill, players are bad mostly because they don't group up and have 2 healers and a guard. Game is very much dependent on the group you run with. It very hit or miss for casual players who play with the open WB's.

Who knows this might be a non issue, but I am pretty sure t1/2 will be pretty dead NA time when t3 is out. Meaning you either come to t3 as a lvl 1 character becuase the best way to get xp/RR is just on BO and Keep flips or you PvE grind mobs (not likely and very boring).

Do we really need like level 12 people in t3 zones running around just so they can get XP? It would be much better if they were at least high enough to get some kind of bolster and have bare minumum amount of levels/skills/gear.

This game doesn't take much mechanical skill, but most PvP games take a significant amount of skill in general to play, and even more to play well. Methinks you may be a little jaded. Its all about your frame of reference though.
