I understand that, I didn't put much tought into it
But yeah, physical RDPS do need some love, especially the Eng cause of the DoTs that are very weak later on.
I see that tactic, I plan on using it when able to.
Atm the damage is very good, i'm happy with it, feels right.
But I remember how it drops heavily, maybe some more itemization at WS is necessary for Physical RDPS.
Maybe adding a % Armor Pen to a tactic, the third tactic?

I would start with mirroring keg to magus, because its one of the best utility engineer can offer to his realm.
Coated Bullets
All your path of rifleman abilities now deal Corporeal Damage.
I was under the impression we can't change how any abilities function just the values of numbers or distance. Maybe not even that? If we can that's great.
Of course everything I'm saying about engineer should be mirrored to the magus when possible but as I have only played the engineer, that's where I post from.

This makes sense in theory to a "degree". The problem with this argument is how it pertains to the Engineer. They really aren't a "physical RDPS" in the same sense that the SW/SH is. I would not ever lump the Engineer in with the SW/SH. The Engineer is a class who has two paths that already deal non-physical damage. Aside from AAs and Morales, the Engineer has very little in common with the SW/SH, and a lot more in common with the Magus.
That being said, I believe there are many ways to make the Rifle path viable without changing its damage type, and changing tactics or itemization is one way to go, also, changing ability function is another route.

11+1 tactic in rifleman path that affect only rifleman abilities and doesnt affect AAs. it would be good cuz it would affect only engineer ST dmg. no UF + blunderbuss killing spree with 50% armor ignore

No, thanks, Aegis of Orange fire is much better than it. Healing for 250 once in 3 seconds don't do any help to realm, it will only give you RR for healing.

That's interesting.

I don't think that completely mirroring classes is a good idea. They shoulb be somehow different.

This may work, move quick reloader for hollow points and make hollow points the tactic that ignores 50% armor, it would need some testing to make sure its not going to make there st rifle damage to op, could always lower the % of armor it ignores or have it only affecting certain skills gun blast, snipe, focus fire ?
Now where is the love to magus

So what is the flaw with magus
its majority dmg is dealt via spiritual which it can debuff so its not as affected by late game armor stacking

Deal with the root of the problem. I know it's less painful and controversial for everyone to slap a band-aid on Engineer by giving it a tactic to sidestep the armor stacking problem - but all you're doing is creating an unbalanced, must-have tactic to deal with that problem. It's not the way.

the root problem then is like has been said armo pen and late game armor levels
so you have to either buff ballistics/ws or reduce/nerf armor levels on late game sets, tallis, pots etc
having said that i dont think having a "must have" is such a bad thing, every class in the game has a "must have" tactic or ability
and as far as i can tell their is no pb style mirror tactic on ordo
