There should be no Restrictions on what jewel can go to what slot. And im not a huge fan of Getting 85 wounds In 1 Jewelry, which means you can skip wounds buff from sets all together. If there was gear even close to that in PvP i would be much more okay with it. Rare Fortune is the only Set dropping from random mobs that has ever been added in RoR.
There Should obviously be Rare Destiny etc PvP equivalent of this. There should be New RR influence Items added, when you ding full inf and take items, you reset the inf and new Items from rank 40-40-60rr - New Universal gearset for Tanks/Mdps/RangeDps/Healer.
How to do Universal sets/items right? AoR actually did it right(if it has to be done, universal sets instead of tailored to each spesifik class) Here is one version of what Warpforged both offensive/Defensive sets had for all tanks. And every tank would benefit from every single stat and bonus!

-Str - 178
-9% reduced chance to be crit
-7% block
-120 hit points every 4 seconds
-5 AP per second
-6% reduced armor penetration
-120 fortitude
-Set Bonuses
-2 piece - On Being Hit: 10% chance to increase Fortitude by 220 for 10 seconds.
-4 piece - On Being Hit: 10% chance to Heal yourself for 1025 health over the next 5 seconds.
-5 piece - 2m cool down - Your group becomes immune to Stagger, Knockdown, Root and Knockback effects for 5 seconds.
Warpforged (Offensive)
Str - 374
WS - 228
Tou - 212
Wou - 178
8% melee crit chance
120 melee power
8% reduced chance to be parried
4 AP per second
6% parry
10% critical damage
Set Bonuses
2 piece - On Hit: 10% chance to reduce the next two heals on the target within 10 seconds by 662.
4 piece - On Hit: 10% chance to increase Melee Power by 220 for 10 seconds.
5 piece - 2m cool down - Nearby allies have their movement speed increased by 60% for 10 seconds.
Also here is old screenshots from RoR/AoR Set bonuses etc. Like 25g for jewelry with 2% Crit, no renown rank needed either.

Meta changes are good. I'd like to see the more interesting weapon procs spread around to other classes. There are many redundant procs such as the 5% chance for x damage over x sec stacked on one class. Some classes have access to much more interesting enchantments and procs than others for no obvious reason. And give that tri/vic ring a mathematically valid price. With a refund ofc

Agree if you are going to change gear stats then please implement a system to exchange gear back for crests. People have devoted months/years to grind crests and carefully select gear sets and crunch the numbers on which stat sets they want.

If I may, I'd like to share my opinion about current items:
The 2h fort weapon is useless for BG. There are no good builds for BG that focus on critical damage, and this weapon is a noobs trap designed to lure them into spending 1200 tokens for worst end game 2h weapon for bg.
HP/sec on Off Sov and Warlord armor - if a player isn't playing a regen build (and no sane person would do that), it's just a HUGE waste of stats. 160 HP/4sec won't improve my survival, but the massive amount of stats that this regeneration consumes definitely will. Move the regen to a single set, leaving 1 set for other builds.
Also, AP\sec is a waste of stats for bg. The only good thing BG has right now is its excellent AP efficiency (will be nerfed soon, right? bg cannot have positive things)

Rifle engi is very viable, engi is in my very biased opinion one of more well balanced classes atm. Magus is just overtuned

this opinion is in regards to solo play? or do you think also in WB it is a viable class?

I think each tier of set items need to be significantly better than the other. I see a lot of trash stats too in lower tiers. I would personally make it where each tier is at least 50% stronger than the other on average and the main stats need to be seriously buffed up.
