I didn't see this in any change logs. It's possible I'm being blind but is it still going ahead?

The server hasn't been patched in quite a while.

Wait so lifetaps are going to be effected by healdebuffs now? That was imo the biggest draw of it.

4ap cloak and 2x 3ap jewelry can go a long ways with restorative burst to solve AP issues as well.

To get use of the RP/Z 25% increased healing... i mean you are replacing WP/DoK with a shaman/AM?

Virtually every target that is ever at risk of dying in a good group is 100% of the time heal debuffed, it's a guaranteed thing...if lifetaps are going to be effected by them I don't see why I would ever stop pumping out standard heals from way back, why put myself in harms way to lifetap something if it's not even gonna heal for more? Unless I am totally misunderstanding what you meant.

I myself am using +10 AP from items and RB to solve the AP issues. We'll have to see how it works out.

And yes, they heal for more. Willpower bonus, Crit and affected by Desperation / Ain't Done Yet.

I don't see possibly solving AP issues a good trade for 50% cut in healing power of lifetaps. Right now I see 1k-1.2k lifetaps in a full heal build with stacks for it, after it will be 500-600? for a 1.2 sec cast that requires you to be 100ft/80ft from an offensive target. I think it would just be the death of what little viability it had as an anti healdebuff tool.

Even if it can crit now, that's leaving things up to RNG to have an outcome that is still less than it would of been before as a raw heal. 500x1.5? ~750ish heal when it crits. Lets say you went absolute madman and droped a DoK to run Z/Shaman healing (losing group cleansing winds m2, proc damage, group cleanse, group hot/shield, etc...) thats still 500x1.75 on crits which would still be less than before it ignored inc heal debuff.

The effect of the Willpower bonus is at present +600 heal.

Best case scenario, heals go up and interesting new procs and tactic options. Worst case scenario is heal debuffed friendly target with disrupt/block/resist/absorb from your offensive target.

This might suck but I look forward to trying it out.

Edit: Time to replace every piece of gear my AM has...

Forgot about willpower then im a dummy

RIP DPS lifetaps tho? Or would it be possible to check for what stat is higher int/WP and use that to decide the typing of the spell? Or would ~300 WP still even things out to around 1k lifetaps?

It should be interesting to see how it works once the patch comes out regardless.

Because BE and I'TT! will work the same way with or without stacks of mechanic (mechanic now only grants them move cast and cast time reduction) I have to consider the safety of having them do much damage on DPS types and the intent to use them more to aid heal types. Them being an option also enables heal types to theoretically build dps stacks while healing.

Is the intent for there to be a third playstyle which is primarily Vaul/Green and where the lifetap is always the better choice of heal in any situation where leech targets are available? Or is the intention that there are two playstyles and lifetaps supplement them?

I'm not lobbying for anything with this post but I am curious.
