this....this is not toxic

if you feel that the RoR fourms are toxic you should try other game message boards.....

Now i have a question while i may be the the pinnicle of the perfect poster on the fourms and one that all should aspire to post like, in the unlikely event that i ever dun goof up on the balance fourms i want to know; when you say banned from participating do you mean banned exclusively from the balance forums or from the entire forums?

Every forum is toxic, youtube is toxic, twitch chat is toxic, reddit is toxic, email messages are toxic, facebook is toxic etc

But what they mean is they dont like it not being an echochamber and dont want their feelings hurt.
I agree that you're probably right for most cases. But if I'm to have any right to the opinion in my signature, then I have to do what I can to make sure that the discussions these people might willfully ignore are at least as visible as possible. Because frankly, I'm tired of seeing accounts with < 5 posts come out of the woodwork to complain about changes that were discussed thoroughly for weeks without significant opposition, and not seeing the threads is the only defense they have.

Banned exclusively from balance discussions. And there will be a warning system - you will know your posts are inappropriate long before the hammer comes down.

Infractions

Access to the balance forums is considered by the staff to be a privilege. Accordingly, that privilege can be revoked. Infractions will be issued by the moderators of the balance forum to users in response to any incidents of rulebreaking, and posts which are judged to have broken the rules will be marked with red text indicating the offense and the severity of any penalty issued. If a user commits 3 infractions within a rolling one-month period, balance forum access will be revoked for one month. From that point on, any infraction will result in an instant loss of access for a greater period of time.

Toxicity lies within the eye of the shitposter. I wouldn't generalise all those examples under the same margin, as there surely is a personalised way to view each individually. Could even rank them from least toxic to most toxic; in the end it's mostly a personal opinion relating to how well you yourself can fit in/tolerate each of them seperately.

Many of us will be actively enforcing the guidelines set out by the Dev team. We all want to see this work out because in the end it's good for everyone to have a balanced game.

As to toxic forums. The original War forums were bad. These forums are rather tame IMO. I barely see any flaming and when it happens its addressed quickly. The balance forum will have zero tolerance for such posts.

As to the barriers faced by most of the pop not reading the forum. I suggest the launcher message, which normally shows the most recent patch notes just show what is currently being tested for balance. If the community doesn't feel comfortable participating then there is nothing we can do even in a democracy you have to show up to vote. But there are many translation sites they could use to help them.

You should really looking at fixing the imbalance between wp/dok and the other healing classes first. Fixing this imbalance will change everything else about the game and will probably impact many changes to other classes that you might consider.

the process of how Balance will be gone about is outlined in the introduction post. If you are curious as to what it will be i suggest reading it.
