- Increase 5s AOE detaunt to 10s
- Increase 5s Blurring Strike to 10s, so uptime can at least be 1/3, now half our armour is gone.
- Make Wrist Slash tactic +WS stack with +WS from Triumphant gear set proc.

P.S. nobody ever saw a problem with Grim Slash.
They could just mirror the SH changes. 792 armor by default in Assault stance, increase armor by 50% on merciless soldier for ASW going deep into the tree.

I don't see much point with these changes if lacking survivability, even the new AOE detaunt is a worse version of mdps classes detaunts.

Agree on the AOE detaunt. It’s nice to have one but it’s a Temu version of what all mDPS get.

I’d be happy with your suggestion of +792 armour in Assault, and +50% armour added to Meeciless Soldier tactic.

As it currently stands, we have most our defenses stripped away or gated behind low uptime abilities or morales, whilst essentially being in light armour.

I get that WH/WE also have light armour, but they at least can go regen, high mitigation (Riposte and other tactics), or can disengage at will through a variety of abilities (stagger on punt, stealth, etc)… we have none of that.

I think the larger problem here is the ''tunnel-visioned'' approach of the balance team. Assault stance is meant for more than just the assault specialization, it's used by the other two specs as well for critical defensive utility, without this armor SW will be so much easier to kill in general.

All SW ranged specs lost this armor, like they all lost the Disarm. Compare this to RSH, they still have the armor, the ''Kaboom'' big knockback etc, RSH is superior to RSW for survivability if this goes live.

I’ve long found it funny when people complain about ASW’s weak defense and try to force additional bonuses for him. If you think ASW will be too squishy—whether before or after the changes—then try playing SL/Choppa, who has lower defensive stats across the board than ASW.
Get real, guys.

So why is squiggie getting 100 toughness wounds and 1.5k more armor and 10% more mitigation.

Does sw even do more dmg than squiggie in melee?

aSW? Yeah.
aSW damage is single target focus, mSH damage is AOE focus. So in focus damage the aSW is ofc higher but in total damage the mSH is waaay higher.

You should compare skirmish AOE damage to mSH AOE damage. I have tested both. Skirmish AOE is really really bad now. mSH AOE damage is already decent on live and will be even better all while having 3k armor inside the squig and abilities like jump in, jump out, Outta My Way! and Kaboom. The skirmish AOE has range but is really squishy with no option of getting armor when being focused or Kaboom people away. Even as ranged SH you gonna get 800 bonus from squig armor and have access to Kaboom to counter focus. It's not really close between mSH AOE and skirmish SW AOE. SH blows the SW out of the water.

You know what i think is funny? You trying to justify assault stance nerfs by comparing it to an explicit Berserker class with a unique Mechanic that literally makes them paper :) in exchange for a MASSIVE damage increase.

The concern about assault stance and SW in general( Not even ASW mind you) is justifiable, heavy nerfs and many which does not make a lot of sense.

In the end, both are melee and paper after armor debuff + M1.

So let’s take away armour from everyone.

EVERYONE IS A WINNER.
