I started playing this game because it had so many better casual-friendly features than my previous MMO, Dark Age of Camelot.
In DAoC you had to spend hours to find or form a group to do anything at all, pve or pvp.
Just to see it fall apart when someone had to leave after 30 mins.
The downtime in that game just waiting for people was horrible.

WAR addressed this brilliantly by implementing Public Quests, Open Warbands and Scenario Queues that made the game so much more accessible to more people.
I don't understand why the RoR devs don't see the strength in that.
In my opinion this game is better than DAoC and could have many more players if casual players weren't regarded as a problem to be fixed.
Even the DAoC freeshard Celestius has more players than RoR, and that's because they made the game fun and easy to enjoy.

How did they fix the problem with player search? 8man grps can't attack soloers or smallmen? How did they punish the 8man grps?

Balancer can't spawn healer or tank or find people for you as well.
What is the outcome if there are a lot 2:2:2 (not premade) on one side and the rest is just some random dps? There is no pop at all?
What do you think will happen with the people that want to tryhard farm solo? Same what happen in solo ranked, a discord for fast organisation in an fresh pug sc.

I qued solo for pug today and it was horrible, we had tanks we had healers we had dps. The dps were running elswhere (what is pretty difficult in ekrund), one healer was completly green geard shield wp that molted in 1-2 choppa aoes every inc, we had a dps rp that not even knew he at least could rezz other healers...
THIS is what will happen if you have splitted ques as well, you won't get farmed by premades, you would get farmed by better organized pugs. Of course there is not one player to blame, there are a lot of players to blame but definetly not the people playing premade. And one player can't do all **** you say, but he can start to ask himself what he can do with the current system and start to gather people, thats the whole point some people constantly try to make people like you to understand:

IF there are these trillions of people that only want pug sc, you would find a way to find 5 more, you even would reach 2:2:2. I know its dangerous to accept this, because once you would have decent balanced groups, the only one you could blame for loss is yourself and your poor sense of grpplay.

No matter how sc que will end up, after the dust cleans up you have to fix playstyle issues (yours and others) or you will always loose.
If a Tank is not guarding, group will loose
If the only healer makes dps (whats his free decision of course!), group will loose!
If dps not assist, you maybe win, but chances are far lower!
If the other team will do all this, you will loose!

If you are not queing pug sc but normal sc at the moment, think about that:
If your pug grp is waste, and enemy groups are decent (even 2:2:2 pugs), the only thing that may let you win the fight is the premade you get qued with, chances are high that the second group would have same only dps setup then yours.

keep it in current set and enjoy dead server

and developers dont help with their mad ban of NB, discuss about addons and spite on balance etc

I know how DaoC Live-Server worked, and believe me, there is nothing you can explain to me that I don't know (maybe some alb hardcore pve informations). But as here was mentioned, the new freeshard seems to address problems that we are talking about here.
So my question is, what did they do so pugs and solos don't get farmed by premades?

All games lose players over time no matter how great they were: WoW, New World, Ultima Online, Hello Kitty Online, DaoC (and every following freeshard - pretty sure even the new one after the first hype is over). Don't want tot talk about NB here but, i'm sure in most cases it wasn't the only reason, and for the people that say "Game was super hyper great and I only leave because of the ban" ... have serious problems. (Not talking about the hundreds and thousands of players that spontaneous lost fingers and hands when they read about the ban, theire problems should be pretty much addressed by sequencer)

after ban of NB pop lost half, here nothing to talk about, yeah
