Is there any solution for Critical Error - Auth~ Problem yet? I tried everything and nothing works for me. : (

I'm having this problem as well. It will randomly work every once in a while and if I quit the game at all it is just a gamble if I can get back in. Really want to play. I thought it was due to the fact that I always connect with a VPN but even with VPN disabled I'm getting this error. Tried everything

Is there any news on how to solve this problem? I managed to log in once, but now I'm stuck with not being able to play.

I've managed to get it working enough to play a few times every day although the problem still does happen. Here is what I've done:

1. Set folder to not read only

2. moved the folder from its original location and them moved it back

3. tried the mini launcher (THE MINI LAUNCHER HAS NEVER EVER GOTTEN ME CONNECTED, I RECOMMEND THE ORIGINAL ROR LAUNCHER)

4. Opened port 8048 on my router

Now none of these things really worked, but I've started cycling IP's through a VPN and basically I just try 3-5 until one finally works. Usually the next time I want to play I have the repeat the process again. It isn't hard, just annoying to connect to vpn, open game, close game, re-connect to a different VPN. Not perfect but hey at least I can play

Hey guys, just an update:

After opening port 8048 on my router I've had 100% success logging in and playing. Unfortunately my internet sucks without a VPN and I guess most of the VPN servers block that port so no luck with them. I'm fairly confident the issue is with port 8048 being open/closed though.

Pretty simple command line fixes for that. The game server also makes use of port 10622.

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Open Port 8048" dir=in action=allow protocol=TCP localport=8048

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Open Port 10622" dir=in action=allow protocol=TCP localport=10622

I just logged in to my router to do it, I disable firewall/antivirus while playing WAR because it has issues with the launcher.

I've opened both port 8048 and 10622 and it still won't work. Any other solution?

Hey Rapax, just wanted to let you know that after a day of no problems it has gone back to not working again as well. Best I can recommend is download a VPN and try cycling servers until you find one that sticks.

all that worked for me is keeping the properties window open after you uncheck read only
