It is my opinion that an EXP boost is not the issue for t2/t3 but renown, with the lack of persistent activity from both destro and order players at enough frequency there simply is not enough of an opportunity to level renown ranks sufficiently.
This results in players grinding their levels all for the purpose of grinding past t3 entirely, creating massive gaps between their career rank and renown rank, what i think would be a good solution for this would be to....
Add a increased boast to renown and influence gain for t2/t3 up to level career rank 40 renown rank 50
Debolster would remain the same, item level of gear keeping things appropriately balanced competitively.
This would encourage players significantly to remain in t2/t3, increasing traffic for those zones, once they hit renown rank 50, players will have the means to be on a competitive level for t4.
Should the experience boost be returned to the game?

To my understanding, there's already double renown up until renown rank 40.xanderous wrote:It is my opinion that an EXP boost is not the issue for t2/t3 but renown, with the lack of persistent activity from both destro and order players at enough frequency there simply is not enough of an opportunity to level renown ranks sufficiently.

It's not enough and it should continue in my opinion past career rank 40 all the way up to renown rank 50 in specifically t2/t3 only, this i believe would encourage players to occupy those zones and not rush to t4.Sejanus wrote:

Re: Should the experience boost be returned to the game?
Its not double renown. Its full renown and it gets cut to 50% after rr40.

Re: Should the experience boost be returned to the game?
I'm just making a case that if there was an increased renown gain in t3 that stood alone from t4, people would be more interested in farming renown there instead of rushing to T4, thus more players fighting in those zones.
Basically you'd gain your renown rank 50 from t3 and then would head to t4 and be on a competitive level vs the players that have already 50 - 70+ renown ranks.

Re: Should the experience boost be returned to the game?
The difference between rr45 and 70 isn't that big on RoR tbh. It used to be on live coz of the massive power creep between Conqerer and Worn Soverign. If you got a group that can carry you you'll be at rr45 from 0 in 1 week and are deffintly in competative shape after that. Id probobly make use for t2 and t3 maps for t4 players instead coz the maps (wich imo are better then t4 maps) are kinda are wasted. You could simply make t1 lvl 1-30 with bolster. Give Ekerund/Bloodhorn, Charace/Blighted isle RVR zones xp/rr bost for players lvl 10-30.

Re: Should the experience boost be returned to the game?
Not everyone has a dedicated group to carry them, i am speaking in more broad terms when it comes to the mass majority of players who typically either take too long to approach that significant level that is to be considered competitive or they avoid it entirely and just circulate alts.
As it stands at this time T4 is not considerable for a proportionate amount of pugs who typically operate in T1/T3, there is a reason why T1/T4 is regularly active...
T1 = softcore, easy to access and no strings attached fun
T4 = Hardcore, gear, renown dependant + intimidation factor when it comes to pug vs guild wb's
The crux of it is this T3 has no real means of defining itself, you either do it or avoid it, use it or lose it and this is the case for both sides, people go where the money is and the profit isn't respectable to most of the hardcore player base, they understand that the influence rewards are negligible, the activity is low and renown gain is minimal, so why would they bother, just bypass it.
From personal experience it is fairly typical for me to see a completely empty T3, yet i'll regularly see two full warbands in T4, which is to be fine, those players can't be expected to be everywhere. But i will bet you cold hard cash those players will have alts that they will be levelling and i would even go further to say they would most certainly occupy T3 zones with those alts if they had the proper incentives to do that.
People need a reason to be in T3, at present it is just simply not fanciable to do that, so what do players want, renown, gear and a good fight, give the people what they want.
p.s
Apologises i did not mean to go on a tangent, if you are reading this devs please take this simply as constructive feedback x

Re: Should the experience boost be returned to the game?
Wow, I had forgotten about this thread. 72% agree 3x (or something close) should be returned, that's pretty overwhelming.
Anyway, even without 3x I've managed to skip T2/T3 with all of my toons and I have something like 5 level 40 toons. Now the grind for RR begins, which is the fun part for me. PL to 28, farm ruin to 31, PL to 40. Utilizing rested while swapping between toons. 3X would just make it quicker and healthier for me at this point as I have zero interest in any T2/T3 content or RVR as I play in NA times and it's pretty futile IMO.. I did queue up a couple times for SC's but after a couple hours of wait I unqueued.

Wow, I forgot about this thread too, and now I'm locking it. The second post basically told you guys we're not doing anything of the sort based on the poll. Our goal was to make the mid-tier playable, which has been successful. Stop grinding rats in a cave and go make some RvR. Those battles aren't going to fight themselves.
