Turret: same as mine, teleports to your position, insta-boom and time to run away

Spanner: cq encounter, spanner, detaunt, run, mine, run some more. Or swipe, m1, detaunt, kite ;)

Barbs: same as spanner, only aoe

Concussion 'nade: range kb. Snare, kb, detaunt, kite :)

Engiez can kite. It's not easy, but doable ;)

The buff will be formalized in the next patch. At that point, if you wish to dispute it, you will have to go through the balance forum.

Also, Earthpac is right on the money. If it were BW/Sorc in place of Engineer/Magus, and we buffed BW/Sorc to their current levels from being completely worthless, people would be screaming about it. I'm well aware of this.

In general the changes are good, engi seem to be receiving the most hate from certain bitter destro players, what i would say tho is both range and damage increase does seem a bit much for a single turret/daemon, i would suggest having 1 turret/daemon give them the huge range another turret/daemon giving them the increase damage and the 3rd turret/daemon giving a def buff for the rift spec magus/engi.

What ppl forget when they are defending the buff is you cannot detaunt the magus or engi when they are sniping you from massive range, it can be rough for clothies when they are dotted and sniped by an engi in the distance they cannot detaunt or run from, remember at huge range its easy to build a solid rotation you cannot see coming due to travel times.

That's called running away and surviving; not kiting. Kiting is being able to do effective damage while on the move - which an engineer and magus simply can't.

I'm sorry, I duelled as engie and against them, I've seen what the class can do. If Karast would say "engiez can't kite" I'd believe him simply because he's the best I've seen. Until that time I remain sceptical ;)

Dots hitting like wet noodles are not "effective damage". Same goes for the 2 instant cast direct damage abilities a magus can cast on the run. With 10 and 16 sec CD, it's just not effective.

And we both now that HoTs and cleansings are more than enough to make these DoTs useless.

On live I used to be able to kite..but the lack of OP pocket items and HP/Damage increase from insane LOTD gear make that much harder now. If a WH pops on me and I don't catch them first...im pretty much dead in 2 seconds. And that is the way it should be.
