Many classes fare well for soloplay, but few shine especially in it.
2h SM is quite decent choice, thanks to WoDS
other tanks can also do fine, especially, as all of them have quite nice skills at hand.
Obviously shaman and AM are the kings of 1v1 duelling, which about why no one wants to fight them 1v1, so most of time any sane person just flees the opposing direction.
WE/WH are quite decent, very high risk, but occasionally you get good rewards when you get those successful ganks. Average healers can be soloed, but any good healer will laugh you off in 1v1. Extremely suicidal choice, prepare to die a lot.
Lately I've seen WLs dominate killspam in oRvR lakes, whether in party or alone. Thanks to pet, the "army of two" is very good choice for soloplay, as often enough you can just send your pet to kill the target for you. Gets the benefit of incredible mobility from Pounce, and strong armor debuff whilst having medium armour and incredible burst damage on less armoured enemy targets, and even if someone knocks you down, your loyal pet will still start tearing them to shreds.
Squig has similar benefit of being able to kite like a shaman, but also sending a nasty pet to harass enemies until they either give up or die.
SW, and to some extent magus and engi are also decent choices for soloroaming, but obviously less mobile than some other lone hunters.
Marauders can also solo roam nicely, provided you master stance swapping, just like SWs. Whatever the target may be, a mara has a debuff that just fits the occasion.
DoK/WP, somewhat challenging choice for roaming, as any sane person probably tries to avoid dueling you, or simply just shoots you down from distance.
Choppa/slayer, very hard choice, occasionally functions, mostly just suicidal.
Zealot/Runie ??? where's Moryx there days
